Kramer Project

After years of playing this guitar as is "stock", I noticed that the volume control was getting bad, noisy and scratchy sounding.  I also thought it would be fun to make some changes to the controls.  The first thing I did was to replace the volume pot. That was easy!  Then I replaced the tone controls with "push-pull" switch tone controls so I could add some switching options without altering the appearance of the guitar.  The added options are:  I can now turn on the bridge pickup regardless of the selector switch position, allowing more new  combinations such as the neck and the bridge pickups together or all pickups on at the same time!
I now also can turn on tone control of the bridge pickup by simply pulling up on the middle tone knob, so then it controls both the middle and bridge.  The original configuration had only tone control of the neck and middle pickups. the bridge was always with no tone control.  I also added some copper foil shielding to the control cavity.  For some strange reason I did not take any "after pics" other than the shielding...
